Walmart is remodeling 56 California stores. 2 are in Stanislaus and Merced counties
Walmart has plans to remodel 56 stores in California this year, including one in Stanislaus County and one in Merced County, the company announced Thursday.
There will be upgrades to the store’s layouts, technology and services for more convenient shopping and delivery in as little as an hour for most customers, according to a news release. Some of the new services will include free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members, including on GLP-1s, and an app experience that allows customers to navigate through their preferred store and book services at Walmart’s Auto Care Center.
“Every new store or remodel brings real benefits to the community — from construction jobs to long-term careers in retail, pharmacy and store leadership,” the news release said. “Customers will notice the difference, too, with elevated brands like De’Longhi, Oura, Jessica Simpson and Lemme, and interactive displays that make it easier to picture how products look in their homes.”
