Name: Luis Peralta

Synopsis: Moses Rodriguez Jr., 25, and Peralta, 16, both of Turlock died when they were shot in the head in south Turlock in the 900 block of Kerley Lane. According to the witnesses, a large group of people in about 20 cars drove to Kerley Lane around midnight early Sunday after hearing about a party at a home at 986 Kerley Lane. As people parked nearby, a band of teenagers was vandalizing the home and nearby cars. The teens threw rocks through house windows, slashed car tires and smashed car windows. Some men in the group arriving at the party confronted the vandals. Then gunfire erupted. People scattered and ran. Rodriguez and Peralta were hit.

Motivation: Police said the homicides were gang-related and stemmed from a recent division within the Norteño street gang.

Suspect: No one has been identified or arrested.
