Welcome to today’s political forum featuring the Stanislaus Superior Court Judge, Office 2 candidates vying for the seat vacated by Roger Beauchesne, who has retired.

— Colleen Van Egmond, attorney
— Jeff Mangar, chief deputy district attorney
Each candidate will have a minute for an opening statement and a minute for the closing statement. In between, they will be asked questions of The Modesto Bee’s Editorial Board, led by Opinions Editor Garth Stapley.
This will be the second of The Bee’s seven candidate forums and/or debates over the next few weeks. The Primary is March 3. Mail-in ballots go out in early February.
