How bazaar! Holidays arrive with craft fairs

The holiday season gets underway beginning Friday as a number of churches and other organizations open their doors to shoppers with Christmas craft fairs, boutiques and bazaars.

Here’s a look at some of the events planned this weekend and beyond:

CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRY – Friday-Saturday, Nov. 6-7: Annual holiday boutique. Raffle to benefit Community Hospice. Cider, coffee and refreshments. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Ferrero Family Barn, 668 N. Blossom Road, Waterford.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR – Friday-Saturday, Nov. 6-7: Crafts, candy, baked goods, vendors; lunch available for purchase. 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Central General Baptist Church, 944 N. Central Ave., Modesto.
