One of comedy’s most recognizable names is making a stop in Modesto for the first time.

The Gallo Center for the Arts announced it has added a November performance by Emmy-winning comedian Aziz Ansari, best known for co-creating and starring in the Netflix series “Master of None” and for his role on NBC’s hit sitcom “Parks and Recreation.”

Ansari will perform at the downtown Modesto venue on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $72 to $158 and go on sale beginning Aug. 18 for Gallo Center members. Sales open to the general public at 10 a.m. Aug. 21 at the box office and by phone, and at 11 a.m. online at galloarts.org.

This marks Ansari’s first appearance at the Gallo Center, which will be the eighth stop on the second leg of his Hypothetical Tour. He joins a list of big-name comedians making Modesto tour stops, with George Lopez performing this past June and Jay Leno slated to perform Sept. 13.

Ansari has sold out Madison Square Garden and released multiple Netflix specials, including his most recent, “Nightclub Comedian.” His next film, “Good Fortune,” which he wrote, directed and stars in alongside Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen, is set to be released in October.

Tickets are expected to sell quickly.

“All ages are welcome,” the venue noted in its announcement, “though some mature language may be used during the performance.”
