Man injured in Riverbank shooting
Stanislaus County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred early Wednesday in Riverbank.
Deputies assigned to Riverbank Police Services were called to the 6000 block of Don Avenue at 1:24 a.m. on a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, deputies found a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Paramedics responded and took the victim to the emergency room.
His condition was not available late Wednesday morning.
Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Bejaran said detectives were still questioning witnesses and processing the crime scene Wednesday.
He did not know if any suspects had been identified, but said there was nobody in custody.
