Patterson shooting leaves one dead, one injured
A shooting Sunday afternoon left one man dead and another hospitalized in stable condition, authorities said.
The unidentified victims, both Latino and of unknown age, were shot about 4 p.m. near Las Palmas Avenue and First Street, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said.
Both were taken to a Modesto hospital.
Detectives are investigating what led to the shooting and the motive, but have no information at this point. There is no suspect information.
The victim's identity will be released once the family has been notified.
