Update: Gunfire in south Modesto injures man; investigators seek three suspects
A man shot Thursday afternoon at a south Modesto trailer park is expected to survive, and three suspects are being sought, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The unidentied victim was shot while driving away at about 5:15 p.m. from a confrontation at Modesto Mobile Village on South Seventh Street, Sgt. Joe Mendonza said. He was taken to a Modesto hospital for treatment.
The gunfire came from a vehicle that also was at the trailer park, Mendonza said. It was later found burned and abandoned in an alley at Crater and Crystal avenues, just west of Crows Landing Road, he said.
Descriptions of the three suspects, all men, were not available.
