Two men shot – one killed – in northwest Modesto
One man was killed and a second seriously wounded in an early Sunday shooting in northwest Modesto, according to a police news release.
Officers responded about 1:23 a.m. to the shooting in the 2100 block of Sharon Way, a residential neighborhood off Prescott Road. Officers found one man shot near the street; he was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was transported to a hospital, where he is listed in serious condition, according to the release.
Detectives are looking for a sport utility vehicle that may have been involved in the shooting.
