CHP investigating fatal crash near Don Pedro Reservoir

At least one person is dead as a result of a crash on La Grange Road near Don Pedro Reservoir.

Two vehicles crashed head-on at about 4:30 p.m. Friday near Bonds Flat Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Following the crash one mangled vehicle came to rest in the middle of the road while another went down an embankment and rolled onto its side. A man was ejected from one of the vehicles and a woman was partially ejected and trapped in a vehicle, according to reports.

A witness told the CHP a woman was walking on the side of the road when the crash occurred and possibly got hit by one of the vehicles. The witness said that woman was lying in the roadway not breathing.

No additional details were available Friday night about who was killed and how many people were injured.
