Casey Mears earned his second-best finish of the season (sixth) and just his fifth top-10 of the season.
"We were racing hard there at the end. Our car got better and better as the race went on," Mears said. "We were running Jeff (Gordon) down there and I was thinking about what I was going to have to do to get by him.
"Obviously, we wanted to do it as clean as possible."
