Robby Gordon's eight-place finish a week ago at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway was his third top-10 finsh this season on a restrictor-plate track.
Now he comes to Lowe's Motor Speedway looking to carry that momentum.
"We had two really good days of testing," Gordon said.
"We went there with out latest chassis and learned a lot. The car seemed to be really good in both qualifying trim and race trim, and we have made even more improvements since the test."
