Doug Herbert's safe-driving program aimed at teens will preview its first Pro-Active Driving School this weekend at zMax Dragway.
Saturday's event is for media and invited guests, but it will help lay groundwork for the first public session on Nov. 8. Each four-hour session, conducted by the Mario Andretti and Jeff Gordon Racing School, is designed for 50 teenagers and their parent or guardian to attend together.
The program is part of Herbert's Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe program, which the NHRA Top Fuel owner/driver began after the death of his two sons in an automobile crash in January.
Those interested in the Nov. 8 session can register at www.putonthebrakes.com.
