TV ratings for both the Truck and Sprint Cup series races last weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway were up significantly over last season, according to Nielsen Media Research.
ABC's telecast of Sunday's first race in the Chase received a final rating of 3.8, up 15 percent from last season's 3.3. One of the largest gains came in the male 35-54 demographic, which saw a 28 percent increase over 2007.
Last Saturday's Truck race, also at New Hampshire, received a .53 rating on Speed Channel, up 29 percent from the .41 the race received a year ago. The series has posted ratings increases over 2007 in 13 of its past 14 races.
