Lagasse to stay with the No. 11 team in Nationwide Series

DOVER, Del. - CJM Racing named Scott Lagasse Jr. as the new driver of its No. 11 Chevrolet for the remainder of this season and Lagasse will remain with the NASCAR Nationwide Series team when it moves to the Toyota ranks in 2009 as well.

Lagasse was involved in the driver development program at Chip Ganassi Racing and has two victories in the Automobile Racing Club of America series with Venturini Motorsports.

"We took a long look at available drivers and think Scott is the perfect fit for what we are trying to achieve," said Tony Mullett, CJM Racing's co-owner. "He's had some experience in the NASCAR ranks and we feel that this opportunity will give him the stability he needs to grow as a driver."

Lagasse, 27, has seven starts in the Nationwide Series and 19 in the Truck series.
