Announcement formalizes UPS deal with Roush Fenway, Ragan

LOUDON, N.H. - As expected, UPS on Friday announced a multiyear agreement to sponsor Roush Fenway Racing driver David Ragan and his No. 6 Ford beginning next season.

"I'm thrilled and excited to be in this situation," said Ragan, who just missed qualifying for the Chase for the Sprint Cup in his sophomore season. "This has been a big week for us.

"It's going to be a great offseason. I'm really looking forward to it. I grew up being a fan of the UPS Ford driven by Dale Jarrett. I think I'm in position now to hit a home run with the combination of Roush Fenway and UPS."

Ragan, a 22-year-old native of Kannapolis, N.C., is currently 14th in points this season. He has yet to earn a win in NASCAR's Nationwide or Sprint Cup series. In Cup competitin this season, he has five top-five and nine top-10 finishes in 26 races.
