Stewart uncertain about second series, suggests JR-Hendrick option

INDIANAPOLIS - Tony Stewart leads the Nationwide Series this season with five victories, all coming in Joe Gibbs Racing's No. 20 team. But will Stewart continue running the series next season when he moves to a Cup team that he co-owns?

One of Stewart's fans asked him that question earlier this week during the driver's weekly radio show.

"I'm sure that we'll be running some," Stewart said. "I don't know exactly who it's going to be for yet. Obviously, with the support (Stewart-Hass Racing) gets from Hendrick Motorsports there's a possibility we could maybe run a JR Motorsports car or possibly the No. 5 car some races, but we haven't got that far yet."

At his announcement at Chicagoland about SHR, Stewart said he did not predict the organization would run anything other than two Cup teams next season. JR Motorsports and Hendrick merged their Nationwide programs at the end of last season.
