Rockingham (N.C.) Speedway has added a second race in as many days for next season as the track will host the 2008 season finale of the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series, speedway president Andy Hillenburg announced Saturday.
The 200-lap race is scheduled for Nov. 1 and will be called the American 200.
Hillenburg said he selected that name in honor of track's former fall Nextel Cup race called the American 500 in 1965.
Fans can begin requesting ticket information on Wednesday by calling (910) 205-8800; or visiting the speedway's Web site, www.rockinghamracewaypark.com. The track will also host an Automobile Racing Club of America race on May 4 next year.
