TALLADEGA, Ala. - Todd Bodine will take a surprise at Talladega Superspeedway any time.
Bodine will start from the pole in Saturday's Mountain Dew 250 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, one of three Toyotas starting in the top five. "I'm a little surprised to be on the pole," Bodine said.
"This truck has always been a fifth-place qualifying truck but the guys went to work after Daytona and figured out some things to get a little speed out of it. We really didn't know what we had."
Jack Sprague (second) and Mike Wallace (fourth) join Bodine in the top five in Toyotas. Erik Darnell qualified third and Travis Kvapil fifth.
