Bump-drafting parks Hamlin

at Talladega, but it's just briefly

TALLADEGA, Ala. - Nextel Cup driver Denny Hamlin was held out of Friday's second practice session for 15 minutes for failure to adhere to a directive from a NASCAR official.

During Friday's first practice at Talladega Superspeedway, Hamlin was ordered by NASCAR officials at one point to discontinue bump-drafting. He continued to do so and was parked for the remainder of the practice and docked 15 minutes of time in the second practice.

Hamlin said he wasn't worried about losing practice time.

"I was finished anyway, but they parked me there at the end," Hamlin said.

"I don't know. We asked them what the difference between us and everyone else out there and they said we were on TV when we were doing it.

"I guess we'll blame the daggum television cameras. They can park us 15 minutes, they can park us an hour, they can park us for the rest of the day. We're done."
