Dad's Busch team turns to Reed Sorenson, will sit Steven Wallace at Charlotte

Rusty Wallace Inc. will turn to Nextel Cup driver Reed Sorenson to help assess its Busch Series program and Sorenson will drive the team’s No. 66 Dodge next weekend at Charlotte, replacing the team’s regular driver, Steven Wallace, for one race.

The team still plans to field Wallace full-time in the No. 66 next season.

“Our entire organization and all of our partners are 110 percent behind Steve,” said team owner Rusty Wallace.

“This is absolutely not a reflection on his ability or potential; we want to do everything it takes to put him and our 66 car back up front where they belong.

“For some reason, we just haven’t been able to make everything click this year. I promise you, though, we’re going to do everything possible to make it happen.”
