Show features drivers’ cars, motorcycles and benefits cancer reseach

More than 70 custom cars and motorcycles owned by some of NASCAR’s biggest names will be on display for a good cause on Wednesday and Thursday of next week at Cabarrus Arena in Concord.

Ray Evernham’s Racing for a Reason organization, which provides money for cancer research and education, is hosting the bike and auto show during Charlotte’s fall race week. Drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle, Elliott Sadler, Kyle Petty, Kyle Busch, Dale Jarrett, Scott Riggs and Kenny Wallace along with others such as Evernham, team owner Roger Penske and NASCAR president Mike Helton will have vehicles on display.

The show runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Kahne, Biffle, Sadler, Evernham, Helton, Petty and Kyle Busch are scheduled to sign autographs on Wednesday afternoon. A complete schedule of events can be found at www.racingforareason.org/event on Monday, Oct. 1.
