RICHMOND, Va. - Johnny Sauter has seen the potential. It’s the consistency that his No. 70 Haas CNC Racing team most craves now.
Sauter had his best race of the season, running in the top 10 virtually from start to finish Saturday night at Richmond International Raceway and ended up fifth – his career best Nextel Cup Series finish.
“I think the car of tomorrow has been instrumental in the growth of our team,” Sauter said.
“We have run good all year in the COT races and (New Hampshire) was one of our best runs of season. It is the consistency we are lacking with both the cars and on pit road.

“We qualified terrible, but I knew it was just a matter of time before I could make my way to the front because the car was that good.”
