A’s open 2017 season with new home name: Rickey Henderson Field

Rickey Henderson can talk all day about Rickey Henderson.

On Monday, the Hall of Fame outfielder was given more reason to brag. The home of the A’s is now known as Rickey Henderson Field.

“My heart and soul are forever Oakland,” Henderson told the crowd before the game, before closing with, “Thank you, Oakland, and I love you.”
