For the third time this season, the Modesto Junior College women's soccer team came from behind to win. The Pirates defeated Skyline 3-1 on Friday to stay undefeated.
"We're building character the hard way," coach Steve Aristotelous said.
The Pirates, ranked 10th in the country by nscaa.com, trailed 1-0 at halftime. Abby Barton tied the game by collecting a loose ball in front of the net early in the second half. Carly Genzoli and Amber Omstead hooked up for the other two goals with Genzoli bringing the ball down the field twice and crossing it to Omstead in front of the goal.
