The Modesto Nuts and Boyett Petroleum have teamed up to turn high gas prices into inexpensive baseball.
For all remaining Tuesday games this season, the price of $5 general admission ticket will be reduced by the price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline at Boyett.
For example, if the price of a gallon is $4.35 all general admission tickets will be 65 cents. The higher the gas price, the cheaper the ticket.
The first-place Nuts have three Tuesday games remaining in the regular season: July 29 against Stockton, Aug. 11 against Rancho Cucamonga and Aug. 18 against Inland Empire and former Sierra High and Modesto Junior College outfielder Matt Berezay.
