Stanislaus County sheriff’s investigators found the body of a 15-year-old boy this morning who appears to have died of a gunshot wound, authorities said.
The coroner’s office had not yet released the victim’s name or ruled on a cause of death. Sheriff's spokesman Royjindar Singh said around noon that the death was likely a suicide.
Around 8:30 a.m., investigators responded to the Mountain View area west of Turlock near West Linwood Avenue and South Moffett Road for a report of someone in the middle of the road bleeding, said Lt. Mario Cisneros.
But when investigators arrived, they found the teenager dead in a shed on the property.
