Modesto taqueria robbed at gunpoint

Police are looking for two men who robbed a Modesto taqueria at gunpoint Sunday night.

At 8:48 p.m., the men entered Jalapeno’s Taqueria, 2001 Tully Road. They were armed with a handgun, said Modesto police Lt. Scott Blom.

They stole money from the register and fled on foot. No one was injured.

Both men were described to police as black. One appeared to stand 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and red pants.

The other man was around 5 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, Blom said. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and white jeans.

Blom asked anyone with information about this robbery to call CrimeStoppers at 521-4636. Callers to CrimeStoppers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward.
