Re “Doctors blast management as they split with hospice” (Front page, Aug. 4): For the past 11 years I have had the privilege of serving as a volunteer at Community Hospice. I have served in most every capacity and it has been a blessing in my life. I have made many life-long friends among Hospice patients, family members, other volunteers and staff.
I met DeSha McLeod when she first arrived at Community Hospice three years ago. DeSha has been a true leader for us, pushing us to new heights and growth. DeSha has always treated me with respect and dignity, and is always available to help whenever needed. Some health issues sidelined me for awhile, and DeSha was one of the first to reach out and offer help. She is compassionate, caring and truly is what Community Hospice needs in a leader.
I am very proud to be a part of an amazing team and look forward to many more years of serving my community. Thank you to DeSha and my entire Community Hospice family for giving me the opportunity to serve. It truly is an honor and privilege!
