If you are free this weekend, you will not want to miss “I And You” at CSU Stanislaus. It plays today-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., and it’s appropriate for ages 13 and up (some adult language). I absolutely recommend this show: The opening performance last weekend had me alternately laughing, gasping, crying and exclaiming. Paige Jenkins (Caroline) and Joshua S. Palafox (Anthony) are tremendous. When I say that it is a “must see,” I am not exaggerating. The script crackles and sings, fluidly moving from bright sarcastic banter to complex emotional discovery. Eric Broadwater’s set is fantastic, with details that underscore Caroline’s dreams, worries and passions. Jere O’Donnell has directed yet another winning production at CSU Stanislaus. You can call the Theatre Department at (209) 667-3451 or visit www.csustan.edu/theatre for ticket information. I give this show 4.5 out of 5 stars!
