I have read in The Bee several times lately that more almond trees are being planted at the expense of other crops (“Almond boom’s price,” Page A1, Sept. 28). I am curious about any diseases that could be attracted to the almond trees, as happened in Florida with the orange trees. It would spread fast because there is no diversity in crops. What would happen then?
