Independence from waste

On the Fourth of July, the date when the colonists declared their independence, it is fitting and proper that the people of Turlock declare their independence from extravagant and wasteful practices by their City Council. To that end, I would like to raise certain questions and problems.

1. What happens to the gas tax money the city receives from the state? It certainly isn't on the streets.

2. Why is it that the bus system has been changed from one serving 2,000 to 5,000 people monthly to one serving much less?

3. What happened to the efforts to provide a homeless shelter for more than the present 38?

We who want a better city have a big job ahead.
