As a concerned parent at Friday's school superintendents meeting, I am appalled at the ridiculous photo used with the article ("Special ed switch considered," Page B-1, June 18).
My husband and I were sitting next to the woman who appeared to be sleeping. The photographer managed to snap a photo while her eyes were closed. This particular couple were among the most vocal in the group of100 people.
If The Bee wanted a picture, they should have taken one of Scott Siegal, Ceres superintendent, who had a dumb smirk on his face for most of the meeting. I'm glad he was so amused by the serious nature of this subject. We parents, special ed teachers and support staff certainly did not feel the same.
