Our politicians reward our failures

Didn't our illustrious federal government create Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Our federal agency also selected two people to run these agencies. Run them they did, right to the ground.

Now we the taxpayers come to the rescue and bail out both of these corrupt federal agencies; then our politicians make sure these two CEOs get top buyouts of $8 million-plus. How shameful, but that's politics.

If Barack Obama really means it when he talks about a change of the way we do things in Washington, then I'm sure for it. But I believe deeply that one of the ways to accomplish that is to get rid of the lobbyists. Unfortunately, that will never happen. Why? Because of money, which brings power and greed.
