Columnist shows his true colors

Cal Thomas likens Barack Obama's travels to Europe to be no more than "the Pied Piper leading Europeans to their doom ... blind faith in Obama won't save Europe from war" ("Pied Piper's travels don't provide," July 23, Page B-7) followed by, "Obama is no Eisenhower, Kennedy or Reagan."

Poor Cal, he and his fellow travelers still cannot accept the fact that G.W. Bush, whom they believed would be America's savior from disaster in 2000 and 2004, (look at where America is now after eight years of Bushism) travels to Europe under heavy guard, shielded from angry thousands in the streets of European cities protesting his presence there.

Cal writes that "Obama has 300 foreign policy advisers, many of them veterans of the Clinton administration" (gasp) and that "Obama is an innocent abroad."

Cal's boy, Bush junior, the self-proclaimed "decider," relied only on God, Karl Rove, Condi Rice, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld and neo-cons Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz and William Kristol in making his decision to start a war against Saddam's Iraq, which history had proven played no part in the 9-11 attacks on America.

The color of envy-green of the successes of Bill Clinton and Obama does not become you, Cal. It is time for you to retire and put your punching gloves away.
