At the end of the 2008 All Star Game, I watched the presentation of the "Most Valuable Player" award. They gave it to J.D. Drew. The prize was a brand new 2009 SUV.
Is it just me, or does it bother anyone else that a 27-year-old kid, who already makes millions of dollars for a playing a game, gets a brand new, $65,000 car just for playing one game? Why doesn't the maker of the automobile give him the car to donate to a charity? Surely there are many thousands of families in the U.S. who need a car more than he does. You know it's a downgrade from whatever he's already driving.
