Like most, I take the same route to work every morning. After a while, you start recognizing cars and drivers. One day, I saw a man throw his garbage out of his car window while driving down Briggsmore Avenue. Though it annoyed me, I thought little of it. A few days later, I saw the same driver throw trash out of his window again.
Modesto is considered the car-theft capital of America and one of the fattest cities in America; we're fighting to become the home foreclosure capital; many Americans have only heard of Modesto because of the high profile crimes that have taken place here. Are we also trying to make it on the list of America's Dirtiest Cities? I do not go out of my way to recycle, but I don't go out of my way to add Modesto to another unflattering list. I'd appreciate it if the litterer on Briggsmore would take the rest of the community into consideration the next time he wishes to discard his fast-food wrappers.
