Corporations feed off city tax breaks

The city of Manteca has created a feeding frenzy for corporations by discounting sales tax in the amount of millions to entice them to base in Manteca. The city uses millions of dollars in business increment taxes that are supposed to support schools, public safety and the city's general fund, for land discounts to developers. Manteca is broke when it comes to our infrastructure needs. Our library has been ignored for years and many other things. Must we continue to sacrifice our needs to make corporations richer?
