More taxes, more 'emergencies'

It seems like the answer to all problems is to stick it to the citizen ("Tax increase proposed for fire and police," March 24, Page B-1). I am against any tax increase. It seems that money earned in collected taxes for a purpose always finds its way to fix another "emergency." I think everything boils down to better money management.

Also remember, when slashing jobs and wages, try not to do it to the people who actually do the work. Start at the top and streamline the top-heavy management. There would be a big savings there.
