Been here in Modesto a little over a year and I have a few questions:
Why do I pay for garbage and water in an apartment, plus a $3 service fee?
Why don't the apartments have recycling?
Why do I have to pay the Modesto Irrigation District a service charge of $12.50 each month no matter how much electricity I use?
Why did my car insurance go from $424 a year to $1,055 just because my ZIP code changed?
Why last summer did I see police cars parked with their engines running and the air conditioner left on? Waste of gas and also unnecessary pollution. One for over a half hour while the officer was having lunch with a fellow officer (who didn't leave his car engine running).
Why every Sunday do I see a police officer blocking the slow lane for southbound traffic on Oakdale Road so the people coming out of St. Joseph's have their own lane to get on? Is this a free service and does the Police Department do this for all churches in Modesto?
