Regarding "No First Amendment right to be a fool" (March 20, Letters): That is exactly what the First Amendment gives us. It gives me the right to voice my opinion, no matter how stupid and asinine it may be. It gives someone else the right to say he thinks my opinions are stupid and asinine. If stupid statements were a crime, our mighty leader would have been ousted a long time ago.
On the same page was a letter headed "African-Americans vote for genocide," I thought "offensive to black voters"; however, to paraphrase Voltaire, I may not like what you say, sir, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
