Workers comp is no help in long term

When people get hurt on the job, they can apply for workers compensation. This is a good plan if you are slightly hurt for a short period. What about the people who are truly hurt and will require medical help and prescriptions for the rest of their lives? Their health and well-being is in the hands of this state agency. Some may be lucky enough to be awarded medical along with the percentage of the disability. This award means nothing when everything submitted to workers comp is denied. Not all cases are fraudulent; sometimes the cases are real and the people really need our help. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in constant pain and have no one believe or understand. There has to be a better way to help.
