I just read that thousands of absentee ballots will not be counted because absentee voters voted for someone outside their party. I am one of those voters. I don't like any of my party's candidates for president, so I opted for a write-in of another party.
We should not be forced to vote for a candidate just because he is running for a party of our choice. This is a free country. I thought we had an option to vote for anyone. I know all candidates for all parties will be on the general election ballot, but the fact we choose to vote for our choice in the primary should not disqualify our ballots. Since this is not a well-known fact, it should be stated on the ballot.
