Letters to the Editor

Damned if you do, damned if you don't

I have been a Christian since I was 9, and the last time I voted I registered as a Republican. However, I am not sure which party to vote for, if any. If my soul is in jeopardy for voting for Democrats who support abortion, then is my soul in equal if not greater jeopardy for supporting a party which began a war in Iraq, another in Afghanistan and is contemplating war with Iran and Pakistan?

Has anyone also considered that when a house is bombed in an Iraqi neighborhood that it may also blow up an underground house church next door? Yes, there are Christians in Iraq. I still have no idea why we entered a war with Iraq. Saddam Hussein is not the person who blew up the twin towers. We all know who is, and he's still out there laughing.

Under the Clinton administration, we had a budget surplus. Now, under the economic guidance of President Bush, we have a budget deficit worse than the one his father left us.

How about we as Americans show a vote of no confidence in any of the parties and all write in "None of the Above"?
