Column a 'brag sheet for poor choices'

My husband and I were reading Liz Moody's column "Even outlaws should have driver's licenses" (Jan. 20, Page I-2), and were disappointed to even see this kind of so-called journalism about someone's dysfunctional teenage life choices. What was the value of this article, and why would you even choose to devote space in your paper to print this? It is quite obvious that this person has yet to learn from her mistakes and seems to use this as a brag sheet for her poor choices in life.
