On New Year's Eve, while out dining with friends, I received a call that my house alarm had been activated. I was home in less than 10 minutes. As I turned into my driveway, a sheriff's car arrived. The deputies checked to be certain all was secure. Realizing this was a false alarm, I apologized to the deputies for wasting their time. They responded by saying they were just doing their job and were pleased that all was well.
The deputies were courteous, efficient and professional. This type of service and attitude makes me realize that, when it comes to the Sheriff's Department and the Salida branch in particular, my taxes are working for my best interest.
