This new law ("Smoking ban revs privacy worries," Jan. 7, Page A-1) has me wondering if anyone else can foresee children in car seats placed outside the vehicle while the parent smokes inside as they "obey" the law on a cold winter day? And, God forbid, then driving away leaving that child while distracted when their cell phone rings.
Laws such as this are going to create new dangers to the very children it's meant to help.
