Letters to the Editor

I promise not to spend it all in one place

Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, I can't thank you enough for the big raise I got on my Social Security check. It is too much, and it puts me in another bracket. This is what I'm going to do. I will send this enormous amount of cash back to you and you can give it to the nation of Iraq; that way, they can build more buildings and companies and playgrounds. They could also build a shooting gallery, and have Mr. Cheney show them how to shoot.

Mr. Bush, you could also buy yourself a new ax for cutting wood. I have been waiting to give you something to help win this war that you have started. So now that I have got such a big raise on my Social Security check, I have a chance to help you in cutting the big budget deficit you created. I hope you appreciate what I am doing.

JOHN CHIESA SR.
