Letters to the Editor

Some game healthier than chicken

The writer of "Why no outrage against hunters?" (Dec. 10, Letters) writes that sportsmen don't need duck meat to survive. True enough. But deer and elk are better for you than boneless, skinless chicken. I can't find deer or elk at SaveMart. My wife had a triple bypass and was told this at the hospital. The letter writer stated that hunting teaches that selfish violence is OK and that hunting is ego-driven. That only shows that the writer has not looked into hunting. Most of us do not get kills every time we go out. But thanks for the tip on Bill Richardson -- I didn't know he was NRA.
