I recently saw the new Democratic Party advertisement on TV that uses children and teenagers to further the party's goals of "financial freedom" and "nationalized health care." In other words, the Democratic Party wants us to have a nation where people don't have to work and don't have to take responsibility for their actions. They want to turn this country into a nation of entitlements.
What happened to the strong Democratic Party values that President Kennedy gave us with "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country"? Why isn't the Democratic Party advertising this? What happened to the values that stopped the Nazis and the horrible genocides in Western Europe? What happened to the values that liberated South Korea? Democrats are supposed to want a strong, hard-working nation that wants its citizens to use their hard-earned money to support their families and communities. We don't want a nation of entitlements, where the elite politicians and their special interest groups decide where our money goes. I'm not planning to join the Republican Party, but if this is where the Democratic Party continues to go, then I'm going somewhere else.
